Project Profiles

Located in the old Uni-solar facility is now Dicastal. A Chinese owned manufacture of aluminum alloy wheels. The facility is designed to produce up to 3 million wheels a year. The 650,000 square foot facility was renovated by adding a new 25kv primary distribution line, 3 new substations, a paint line, heat treat line, 20 –4station machining cells, and aluminum melting equipment. Shoreline had a crew of up to 52 people working at the facility to meet the 2nd quarter of 2017 startup deadline. One of the many challenges that were faced was the steady communication between other contractors, the owners, manufacturers, many of whom were from around the world. They were from places like China, Germany and the UK just to name a few. Shoreline’s portion of the project was around $12 million for the electrical portion of the work.

Brembo an Italian manufacturer of brakes, discs, calipers and corner modules. What once was the Hayes Lemmerz plant in Homer Michigan is now one of the many Brembo plants in North America. Shoreline’s role was to install 4 Otto Junker induction melting furnaces at the facility. With Otto-Junker a German furnace manufacture, and the Italian owner made this project an adventure with communication. The project total was around $500,000 which included a crew of around 10 people and a 4 month deadline.

Best Western Traverse City

Complete Interior/Exterior Remodel

Best Western 4 Seasons in Traverse City had a major remodeling design build project that was $220,000 in electrical work. This work included the remodeling of the 7 different types of rooms that they have and the exterior facility. The budget for the project was easily held and the time to complete the project was done so that the facility could be back to full capacity right on schedule.

Shoreline is handling the design and the installation of the electrical portion of this project. The project is budgeted for $300,000 for the electrical and will begin spring of 2016. The new location will be in Cedar Springs and is 406,000 sq ft. The design portion of the project includes the primary power that will need to be upgraded from its current state and will also include lighting and new electrical service.

Hibernation for Toys

Office and boat storage condo units

A $120,000 design build project to perform the design and installation for the electrical portion of the storage location and office building for Hibernation for Toys. Installation included electrical wiring for a heater, electric door opener, lighting, outlets, and cameras. Located in Elk Rapids the project was performed within the budget and time frame that was requested.

Irwin Seating

Complete office renovation and display space

Irwin Seating is a Grand Rapids based company with two manufacturing locations for seating. Their seating is often found in places such as education facilities, places of worship, cinemas, performance halls, and arenas/stadiums.

It was decided to update the office located just off of Fruit Ridge in Grand Rapids. The general contractor was Wolverine Construction who over saw the complete renovation. The project was $650,000 for the electrical portion of the project which included new lighting, data cabling, and new electrical wiring.

Subaru by the Bay

New showroom and service area

Subaru by the Bay invested $165,000 in their showroom and service area at their Bay Shore Michigan location. We worked around the challenges of upgrading while continuing to operate. The electrical work was performed during the normal business hours yet they were still able to support their clients with very little interruption.  This project began in late 2015 and completed in early 2016.

Traverse City VA Renovation

Office and clinic renovation

This design build project was for around $50,000 in electrical and data communications work at the Traverse City location. Work was coordinated with the Siemens for the security/door access system. Work was performed while keeping the clinic open. This usually presents challenges and being that this was a rather tight space it made it increasingly difficult. Treating the clients with the respect and privacy that they deserve was what they were given. The expanded space allowed for more services and to help relieve the strain on the work load.

Warehouse Marketplace

Retail renovation to existing warehouse

When new owners purchased the Warehouse Marketplace they wanted to add some new life to the facility. Shoreline Power Services was brought in on this design build to spruce up the 185,000 square foot facility. Focusing mainly on retail clients but will also include a microbrewery. While a few spaces were vacant there were many that still remained in business while the renovation took place.
